THE BASICS OF THE ARGUMET

There is a lot of information on the internet complaining or making accusations about Jehovah's Witnesses, “and in particular the “Watchtower Bible and Tract Society” (WTBTS) These web sites claim that JW's use techniques that are described by people such as Steve Hassan, and psychiatrist Robert Liften. All the sites seem to say the same thing. They basically rehash the theories of the above two  men and try to make them fit to their perception of WTBTS.

Bellow is the sort of information, or accusations, one is likely to find against JWs.

          1) JWs are controlled to such of an extent that no matter what the WTBTS says, they blindly go             along with it. They claim to be directed by God and yet they have made “false prophecies” an             we know what the Bible says about false prophets don't we. Deuteronomy 18: 20-22 “20 But             the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded               him  to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And           if thou  say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22             When a  prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass,             that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken  it                               presumptuously:  thou shalt not be afraid of him.” (JKV)

          2) Not only that the WTBTS has produced their own Bible and tampered with it by deliberately              changing words to suit there doctrines.

          3) The Jehovah's Witnesses believe that their organisation is the only one approved by God. They            base it in faulty chronology that they say prophecy shows that Jesus returned in 1914 and                   inspected.

           4) They are told that they can only get salvation by belonging to the WTBTS, in fact they put the              WTBTS above God and the Bible

           5) They are told what to say when they go preaching

           6) The JWs must believe everything that the WTBTS say with out question. They are not allowed            to think for themselves or question anything that is published in the Watchtowers books. The                WTBTS tells them what they can do for entertainment, what sort of grooming they are allowed            to have, and who they can associate with.

Those are some of the main accusations of mind control that are made. This series of essays will explore those and more.
